Add a Branch Site Code

A branch site code denotes:

  • a facility where voter registration application forms can be submitted by citizens.

or

  • an organization authorized to collect registration application forms and deliver them to the Supervisor.

The branch site codes stored in the Voter Focus database are used to populate the Registration Source list on voter registration application forms.

The code associated with the registration source displays on the Activity tab in the voter record.

Branch site codes and their descriptions are maintained in VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Codes. Each code has a local identifier called the Registration Code, which must be unique. Some counties use a single branch site code to designate a specific type of facility, such as public libraries. Other counties prefer to create a branch code for each physical location; for example, a separate code for each public library in the county. Either approach is acceptable.

Each branch site code is assigned to one of the FVRS categories established to define registration sites/organizations to the state database.
